Take a look at the pictures from the Arario Gallery. It’s a physical manifestation of Michael Paulus’s drawings which represent realistic skeletons of not so realistic cartoon characters, like Bugs Bunny in the above picture. A fictional anatomy if you will.

Josdigital’s Favorite Albums of 2008
Late again and another year past. I wish for a new blog design this year, if I can schedule in the time with my overall laziness.
I put a lot of thought into the list. The top five was just ...Digitalite

Video » Efterklang – “Modern Drift”
Beautiful inspiring spring filled video and song from a promising new 4AD sign. (via Grizzly Bear)
-
Video » Massive Attack – “Splitting the Atom”
Love the touch of film grain combined with black chrome. The evolution towards the end is amazing. P4k calls it monstrous shit, which it definitely is.
-
Video » Broken Bells – “The High Road”
Lovely video for the Danger Mouse/James Mercer combo project out in March.

Music » Caribou – “Odessa”

A Serious Man (2009) 3.5/5

As a Coen bros fan, it's a real joy to witness their specific and perfected style of filmmaking, the cinematography and their effortless way of portraying with just a still image. But the subject, which apparently is a retelling of The Book of Job, is less intriguing than what Coen fans expect.

The Blind Side (2009) 2.5/5

I thought Bullock's Oscar nomination is a bit overrated, but nonetheless the film is fairly decent, heartwarming and emotional, but sadly relies too much on cheesy dramatization and clichés.

The Hurt Locker (2008) 3.5/5

With all these war movies capturing the same topic, it's still great to see a film be both unpretentious and intense. Not overly dramatized nor overwhelming. Just decent.

The Brothers Bloom (2008) 3.5/5

Fun, evocative and beautiful cinematography, but aims a little too much towards Wes Anderson film making which already is an acquired taste for many, like me.
