Daedelus - Sundown

So I was just checkin’ out Shots Ring Out’s Top 56 Music Videos of 2006 and found a lot of good music, but the ones I must’ve mist and thought were pretty great were:

The Album Leaf - Always For You (Aaron Stewart-Ahn)
TV on the Radio - Wolf Like Me (Jon Watts)
Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Follow You Into the Dark (Monkmus)
Basement Jaxx - Take Me Back To Your House (Dougal Wilson)

But the one I liked the most was Daedelus - Sundown. I would’ve liked it more if it was conceptually a little stronger, but visually it’s astonishing. And a great song, of course, the whole album too. Directed by Clay Lipsky, in case you were wondering. (Youtube/mov,mov)

  No Amadeus, but Gary Oldman at its best with a little too much dialog at times, but overall very likable.

  Kevin Bacon does a great job in this gory action revenge flick, but the story is a little simplistic, a total no-brainer, reminds me too much of Taxi Driver.

  I know there are a lot of things wrong with this movie, first off it's very difficult, hard to wrap your mind around. But you can't deny, like Donnie Darko, that this movie is special, stylish and makes you think. Overall a great experience.

  Loved it, great acting, very dramatic take on a fathers love and disappointment of his child. Touching.
