It’s been pretty slow down here with the holidays and all. I’m slowly progressing on my favorite albums of the year list, which I’ll be posting pretty soon, so watch out for that.
In the mean time, check out this crazy little abstract video for Boom Bip’s In The Tree Tops. I’m a Boom Bip fan, but with his latest, Sacchrilege EP, he steered in a surprising new direction. A bit Justice, Simian Mobile Disco like, with the raw 80′s electro-synths. Not bad, I’m just surprised to see what’s coming.

Keep Shelly In Athens is definitely one to watch out for. Just watch this video, wait for the synth to drop and be amazed.
Jon Hopkins’ take on Us, featured on Drift Remixed, is a lot more aggressive. The video flows through the slaughter, preparation and devouring of a meal as its high point. The cleaning in heavenly light as its downfall. Great concept as the video perfectly aligns with the ambiance of the song.

Massive Attack videos are exactly like their music. Dark, uncompromising in style with attitude and a slightly offset integrity. Serves as a prequel to the marvelous “Splitting the Atom” video.
The documentary felt a little monotonous , the cut and paste style could be more refined. I missed some sort of moral, but the mockumentary in itself was pretty fun.
Super intense melodramatic film making by one of my favs. It’s a scary nightmare condensed in one epic tale.
It’s too much of a kids film for me to enjoy, but the animation and cinematography looks gorgeous which makes up for a lot.
