The year started out with 2 awesome albums. One being Fever Ray‘s incredibly dark moody self-titled, where Karin Dreijer Andersson of much acclaimed The Knife lies at the root of. The other being Animal Collective’s Merriweather Post Pavilion, which I’m still exploring.
Its amazing first single features Panda, Avey, and Geologist’s silhouettes playing their MPC’s, keyboards and other, going through different phases of some under water greenish to them melting away into outer space, all this enclosed in a Vexel art capsule (vector derived).
Definitely abstract, I see no explanation worthy.
