Les Concerts à Emporter or The Take-Away Shows are a project by French music website La Blogothèque. Its purpose is to give the viewer a more natural, down-to-earth, feature-stripped view on specifically chosen artists, as is, whether it be your favorite artist or an unknown in the hope of your discovery.
Mostly filmed by independent filmmaker and music video director Vincent Moon, Les Concerts à Emporter are high quality laid-back acoustic versions filmed mostly in the streets of Paris, always trying to capture an original take on the urban scenery.
Some of my favorites are Grizzly Bear‘s vocal adaptation of their amazing “The Knife”, Beirut‘s Zach Condon playing his ukelele only to finish in the back of a small restaurant, absolutely gorgeous Bon Iver (Part 2) gave me goosebumps and the Arcade Fire show looks like a party to remember.
