In this section I post my occasional snippets of insight on outbound links that are necessary material in your cultural well-being. Josdigital in short bursts, if you will.

All tracks sound amazingly chill and well directed. One to look out for.

Arch M – Land Huxt

Arch M stirred the blogosphere with a massive track a while ago. Now grab this dreamy highly conceptual EP and get dazed.

Envision : Step into the Sensory Box

“The public was invited into a cube and discover the artistic vision of the tagline of the event: Transforming the Mobile Experience.”

Jai Paul – “BTSTU”

Stuck on repeat. The overlaying falsetto of Jai Paul leads the track through a mix of funky electro-soul. More goodness at his myspace.

Memory Tapes – Bicycle (Little Loud Remix)

This rework of one of my favorite tracks of the summery Seek Magic is gorgeous.

Teen Inc.

Groovy repetitive guitar riffs, breezy vocals on “Friend of the Night” and funkier rhythms on “Fountains”, looks promising.

Band of Horses – “Compliments”

Stellar job in transforming and distorting nice scenery. Infinite Arms will be good.

Kavinsky – “Nightcall”

I’ve talked about the Testarossa driving French producer before, but this Daft Punk co-production lights up like fire.

cLOUDDEAD – Dead Dogs Two (Boards Of Canada Remix)

Part nostalgia, part sentiment, this track pushes my button. Even though clouddead was pronounced dead a long time ago and my love for BoC (which I refuse to believe dead) never settles, I miss great eclectic hiphop.

jj – “Let Go”

Blunts, blood, troubled minds and lots of style. I’m in.

Eluvium – The Motion Makes Me Last

Really brilliant track and suiting visuals. Instant feel good and painfully hypnotic.

Efterklang – “Modern Drift”

Beautiful inspiring spring filled video and song from a promising new 4AD sign. (via Grizzly Bear)

Massive Attack – “Splitting the Atom”

Love the touch of film grain combined with black chrome. The evolution towards the end is amazing. P4k calls it monstrous shit, which it definitely is.

Broken Bells – “The High Road”

Lovely video for the Danger Mouse/James Mercer combo project out in March.

Caribou – “Odessa”

Don’t know what to expect from Dan Snaith’s forthcoming Swim after blissful Andorra, a personal favorite and this shifting jumpy joyous single. (via)
